I got two different wines and they were both delicious and was a pretty good price as well. They also have live music and it made the environment even more relaxing.

They have roof top seating for 21 and older if you decide to leave the kids at home. Out of all the historical metals, Zinc was the one that called their name. Zinc is a long lasting, maintenance free metal that has an unparalleled warmth and depth. Zinc just happens to be an essential component to the good health of yeast! With this knowledge and love of Zinc, Mike knew when he built his first house his house would be wrapped in custom made Zinc panels. In 2002, Mike purchased 45 acres of raw undeveloped land and in 2006, he built his first house complete with Zinc Cladding on all of the walls and roofs and this is what has become The Zinc House!

Bring water bottles for the kids and out side toys but NO CHALK. The bathrooms are nice and well kept. You’ll also love the drive up the path to the winery.

Kids can be there (outside and on first floor of main building) until 6pm. I lucked out with seating and the group next to me moving so that we were able to find space for our group of 10+ people. The food trucks are pricey but tasty and with good variety. Great middle spot for meeting friends from Durham (I'm in N Raleigh).

We offer non-alcoholic beers, water and Coke products. All patrons of ZincHouse must be 21 and over, with the exception of specifically designed holidays and family events.
The only drawback is the long gravel drive to get to the buildings, but worth the effort. Yes, though we do highly encourage you to support local business via the food trucks on site! The list of food trucks can be found on our calendar. No “food only” tables are allowed in the seating areas inside or outside.

We went for Mother’s Day and had a great time. There were a lot of people there celebrating as well. They had a couple of food trucks and live music. The grounds are beautiful but get there early if you want a seat with some shade. Next time we will pack a few chairs or a blanket. Tons of space for the kids to run around.

Smoking and vaping are allowed only OUTSIDE of the buildings in designated areas only. Join us Wednesday to Sunday for a fantastic selection of beer and wine, in addition to amazing scenery that’ll remind you of the mountains! We are open to the general public 5 days a week.
In 2008, Mike along with Kimberly started venturing out to various vineyards, wineries and breweries throughout NC and Virginia. Their minds were immediately transfixed by the experience of sitting outside with a bottle of wine, enjoying nature, and learning about their new passion. The idea of building a winery was born in 2009 and it was then that they began to slowly transform the land into the vision they had for this winery.
Our Carriage House, nestled in privacy, hosts public dinners, tastings and events. Stunning new winery in Durham not far from i540. Pretty packed but definitely worth a visit. Great for groups, families, and even weddings. Looking forward to coming here more often.
This is pretty much Disney World for adults. You can easily spend the entire day here just eating and drinks. There are a bunch of food trucks with different types of food and every beverage you can think of. The property size is grand and there is tons of parking including and overflow lot with shuttle service. Live music usually starts at 7pm and it usually gets pretty busy. Bring some camping chairs or blankets too, there is tons of grass areas where you can setup shop.
They took wine courses, made kit wines, brewery courses and started brewing beer. In 2010 Mike & Kimberly made their lifelong commitment to each other while floating in a hot air balloon slowly drifting over the expansive Russian River Valley in Napa. For the next 12+ years they continued to refine their love for wine and craft beer while working to build out this dream that has now become Zinc House Winery & Brewery.
I hate to recommend and it's only going to get busier, but also want this place to succeed as it's an adult alcohol destination.Borrowed the photo from my friend. We will eventually have a house wine but our excellent, Sommelier-led wine program is in place to offer an outstanding variety to suit all palates and provide a true, diverse winery experience. Visit us for a beer, a wine, and enjoy our changing selection of food trucks.
